This is an extention of Yahoos Official Group of AB Quintanilla Presents Los Kumbia Kings". LK2, as it is currently known, with its 13 members, is famous for their marriage of musical genres such as Tejano, Cumbia, International Pop, R&B, Rap, and more. They have sky rocketed to international fame with acknowlegdements by Grammy and American Music Award nominations. Within the past 4 years, the Kings have continously grown and revolutionized their unique sound, which is most evident in every album they have released.
Keeping to this reputation, they have yet again revolved a complete 360 degrees by adding a new member, 25 year old Abel Talamantez (a former member of the group MDO). However, with the addition of Abel, brings sadness for the veteran fans of LK2, as beloved lead vocalist Jason DJ Kane Cano is leaving to persue his solo career. (We truly wish DJ the best in all he may do, and hope to hear colaborations with Los Kumbia Kings in the future.)
Todays Kumbia Kings are : AB Quintanilla III - Writer, Producer, and Lead Bass; Cruz CK Martinez Writer, Vocalist, Arranger, and Keyboards; Jason DJ Kane Cano Lead Vocalist, Chris Perez Lead Guitarist, and Arranger. Nino B Rapper and Front-man Dancer, Abel Talamantez New Lead Vocalist who is currently working on new arrangements of hits, old and new, such as U Dont Love Me. Fuiste Mala, Insomnio, Shhh!, La Cucaracha, and the Juan Gabriel written No Tengo dinero.
